Jamie "James" Mann, known as espedrawsthings or Espe online, is a nonbinary transmasc artist with ADHD who is a Game Art and Design graduate from CCAD, having graduated in May of 2025
Though veering to a 3D focus in his college career, James' strong suit is 2D character and concept art, in addition to having skills in storyboarding and animation.James plans to use his art to spread the importance of fiction and imagination in connection with reality, and how it effects those who use it as escapism and coping mechanisms,
focusing on character psyche and mental states, along with the general connection between the fantastical and the real.CONTACT INFOBluesky: @espedrawsthingsTwitch.tv espedrawsthingsDiscord: Espeon9891#5319E-Mail: [email protected](The best means of contact for me would be through DMs)
Merci Destroys the World is a short, nearly complete point n' click game about a young girl who likes to play the villain as escapism from her harsh reality.
The game was created over a semester for CCAD's Pipeline Production course, using Unity, its Adventure Creator extension, and Unity Visual Scripting.
Jetpack Test Drive was the first game I ever created, developed for the Programming for Play course under a short deadline during my 3rd semester at CCAD. It was this course and project that changed my academic trajectory, switching from majoring in Comics to majoring in Game Design.
Breaker Cadet was an ambitious game concept inspired by the game Antonball Deluxe. This was a project for Programming for Play at CCAD, and was only my third time programming a game.
behind you is a Capstone project for CCAD, made in collaboration with Megan Stein, aka PugHugs. While Megan focused on 3D and smaller parts of the programming and 2D assets, I focused on the larger of the 2D assets and most of the programming.
Adopt-a-Toon was my second ever game, created for Programming for Play's virtual pet assignment.
The initial plan was to have multiple evolution lines depending on how you interacted with the Toon, however only the Angel evolution was made for this assignment.
BOOM N' RANG is a short game created for CCAD's Digital Playspaces course, experimenting with alternate controls, resulting in the game being controlled by holding a GameCube controller sideways when you play the game.
Dancin' Jacks was a collaborative piece made for CCAD. The finished game is now displayed on the Game Design arcade machine in Design Studio on Broad (DSB).:Studio BrainFog TEAM:Programming, Concept Art, Voice Actor:

James MannI helped with concept art and was in charge of cleaning up rough animation, along with lining animation in general, with the colorist and rough dance animator being Tessa Newsome. I also sketched and lined the character renders for Jackson and Jackle, designed by Carson Dauer that would go on the sides of the arcade machine.
